PSYCHOLOGICAL INTRODUCTION TO PHILOSOPHY STUDY IN THE PROGRAM OF G. I. CHELPANOV

Abstract.

The paper deals with the methodical concept of psychological introduction to philosophy study developed by the distinguished philosopher, psychologist and educationalist G. I. Chelpanov (1862–1936). The applicability of such approach in the contemporary education system is substantiated. Closer attention is given to reflection starting from the self-observation practice as an anthropological prerequisite of the theoretical study of philosophy and psychology. The paper may be of interest to the educators and students concerned with liberal education issues.

FEATURES OF REPRESENTATIONS OF THE FUTURE FAMILY OF YOUNG PEOPLE’S WHO GREW UP IN A DYSFUNCTIONAL PARENT FAMILY SETTING

Abstract.

The article discusses the results of the empirical research on the young people’s social representations of their future family. A comparative analysis of the representations of men’s and women’s who grew up in both a dysfunctional family communication and in the standard parent families. The results are compared with the results of published modern studies on social representations of young people about a family.

THE MANIFESTATION OF THE EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE COMPONENTS
OF “SELFIE-ADDICTED” UNIVERSITY FEMALE STUDENTS

Abstract.

This work studied the manifestation of the components of emotional intelligence of female students aged 18–20 who are “selfie-addicted” and those who are not. “Selfie-addiction”, acting as one of the types of dependent behavior, is able to disrupt adaptive personality development. In order to determine the peculiarities of the development of components of emotional intelligence, the technique of N. Hall was used. The results of the study show that in the group of «selfieaddicted» girls the overall indicator of emotional intelligence is significantly lower than that of girls who do not have «selfie-addiction». In addition, the components of emotional intelligence such as «Self-Motivation» and «Managing the Emotions of Others» are significantly lower in the group of «selfieaddicted» female students too.

REQUESTS OF KEY STEAKHOLDERS TO THE REGIONAL UNIVERSITY AS A FACTOR FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SOCIAL ORDER

Abstract.

The purpose of this article was to analyze the requests of key stakeholders in the region as a factor in the implementation of social order. Udmurt State University was chosen as the object of research as a base for the implementation of a research project with the support of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research. The results of the study demonstrate that many of the difficulties and problems faced by this university are also characteristic of other regional universities of the Russian Federation.

INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH IN EDUCATION IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC

Abstract.

The aim of the article is to present the interdisciplinary research in education in the Czech Republic and the Baltic States. The analysis of the original source base showed that at present the research projects in the field of education and programs are characterized by their interdisciplinary nature. The research is conducted by teams of scientists – teachers, sociologists, psychologists, etc. Most of the empirical research is carried out, the method of verification of hypotheses in which is the empirical facts (test data, interviews, questionnaires, etc.), processed by appropriate scientific methods.

DEVELOPMENT OF PEDAGOGICAL THEORY

Abstract.  

Pedagogical theory, being one of the components of pedagogical knowledge, is meant to explain the essence of pedagogical facts, phenomena and processes and their interdependence. At the same time, the meaning of the theory is improved and enriched by means of elaboration of methodological and theoretical foundations and elucidation of development trajectory of the theory itself. The performed analysis of development trajectory  of pedagogical reality enabled the content of pedagogical theory to be included into the general theory of development of science.

SUPPORT THE CHILD’S INDIVIDUALITY IN THE VARIABLE EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT

Abstract.

Identification and support of human individuality, understanding of its capabilities and needs, including the need to be a person, is a humanistic ideal of social progress and requires the transformation of the educational environment from the perspective of the educational variability. The article presents a theoretical analysis of the term “support individuality”; the results of study of experience of pre-school and supplementary education teachers’ to support the individuality of children of senior preschool age; it substantiates the system of principles of the variable educational environment and outlines the organizational forms, methods and psycho-pedagogical conditions to ensure the maintenance of individuality in the variable educational environment. With the support of the foreign and domestic research, the authors offer their own vision of a variable educational environment, as well as consider the grounds that determine the variability of the educational environment and the set of psychological and pedagogical conditions necessary and sufficient to support the child’s personality.

PROFESSIONAL FORMATION OF SCHOOL-LEAVERS OF MILITARY SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENTS OF ST. PETERSBURG IN THE RUSSIAN EMPIRE

Abstract.

The article deals with the impact of the initial military education provided by the cadet corps in St. Petersburg before the revolution on their leavers’ career choice. Nearly 500 profiles of St. Petersburg cadet corps leavers’ are analyzed. The author defines a range of spheres in which they could realize their potential on leaving the education institution. The article presents a brief history of cadet corps dating back to the period between the XVIII and the beginning of the XX century, as well as outlines their similar and different features. The period under review is about 160 years, from the reforms of the mid. XVIII century to the year of 1918.

GENESIS OF PUBLIC EDUCATION AND NATIONAL SCHOOL IN THE SAYAN-ALTAI REGION IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE XIX – BEGINNING OF THE XX CENTURIES

Abstract.

The article presents the formation and development of the national education in the Altai and Yenissei Provinces on the cusp of the XIX–XX centuries. The general pattern of genesis of different primary schools for Siberian indigenous peoples is shown basing on the statistical data; also the historical significance of the missionary educational activity in the Sayan-Altai region is revealed. By way of conclusion the perspective research trends are defined.

THE EDUCATIONAL ACTION AND COMPETENCE CORRELATION

Abstact.

The article analyzes the correlation of the “universal learning activities” and “competence/competency” concepts. Basing on the analysis of the niche occupied by these categories in the main provisions of the systemactivity and competence approaches, and the role of training activities in the formation of a competent person and texts of normative documents, a conclusion has been made about the existence of a system combining the three categories considered.

SUBJECT LEARNING OUTCOMES PLANNING ON THE BASIS OF THE STATE EDUCATIONAL STANDARDS COMPETENCIES

Abstract.

An approach for planning the subject learning outcomes at the university on the basis of competencies of state education standards, which corresponds to the conception of student-centered learning, is proposed. On the example of Discrete Mathematics the formulations of learning outcomes in the “active verb + object of activity + context” form recommended by the ECTS are considered. The revised Bloom’s taxonomy was used as a tool for formulating and ranking the learning outcomes.

Abstract.

The article reveals the peculiarities of the formation of the teenage valuesemantic attitudes. It determines the nature, structure and function of the adolescents’ axiological attitudes. It has been stated that the adolescent value orientations are a mental formation, which is a component of the valuesemantic sphere of personality of a teenager and is manifested in the readiness to action and self-expression and is based on the system of values, value orientations and personal meanings of the adolescent. It has been proved that that the structure of value-semantic units involves the following components: cognitive, emotive, and connotative. The functions of value-semantic units are defined as regulatory, adaptive, and expressive.

MODERN EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES IN THE UNIVERSITY: A SYNTHESIS OF THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE

Abstract.

This article is devoted to the generalization of theoretical and practical experience in the use of pedagogical technologies in the educational process of “Petrozavodsk State Glazunov Conservatory” during 2014–2017. 43 teachers took part in the study. The subject of the analysis of the article involved scientific works (articles, thesis research) on the topic of educational technologies, which have been accumulated in both scientific theory and practice, including classes in subject disciplines, publications and studies of Petrozavodsk Conservatory professors. Teachers of Petrozavodsk Conservatory for a number of years have actively participated in holding conferences and writing scientific articles that reveal the personal understanding of the learning process in a creative university.

INNOVATION-INTEGRATIVE MODEL OF PRE-UNIVERSITY EDUCATION IMPLEMENTED IN SECHENOV UNIVERSITY

Abstract.

The most important trend in the development of the world’s leading universities is the provision of quality continuous training of specialists, from general education, through vocational to postgraduate. Early professionalization (career choice) meets the objective of the university to form a motivated contingent, thereby improving the quality of the work of the university. The article spells out the importance of pre-professional education in the system of the “school–university–clinic” educational continuum, describes the features of preuniversity training and the main trends in the development of this system of continuing education. The authors note the key areas for such development, which make it possible to foresee changes in pre-university education. At the same time, the article provides an understanding of the impossibility of a universal approach to education even within the framework of one direction of the training profile. The authors further denote the need and importance of self-education for the comprehensive and dynamic development of a well-integrated personality, as well as of the realization that the future belongs to science and scientists. The implemented practical experience is represented by an innovation-integrative model of a single educational environment. The model can be applied in other educational organizations in designing an educational process to ensure the continuity and succession of general and vocational education.

ACHIEVEMENT OF META-SUBJECT RESULTS OF PRIMARY EDUCATION
BY DEVELOPING SKILLS OF INFORMATION TRANSMISSION AT THE LESSONS OF COMPUTER STUDIES IN PRIMARY SCHOOL

Abstract. 

In the article, the author develops ideas that he has already expressed earlier. The theme is computer studies in primary school and its meta-subject nature. With the support of the leading scientists’ viewpoints the author proposes to work on developing the children’s ability to “receive” and “transmit” information. According to the author this will allow to achieve high meta-subject results of education in the primary school. The author considers in detail the skills of “transmitting” information and their connection with universal educational activities of younger schoolchildren as the subject target learning outcomes. Particular attention is given to making the link between the suggested subject skills and the universal learning activities. It is the link between the processes of the subject skills formation and communicative universal learning activities that determines the metasubject nature of the school computer studies and on the stage of the primary education in particular.
