THE CONTRADICTION OF CONTINUITY AND DISCRETENESS AS THE ESSENTIAL DEFINITION OF FRACTALITY

Abstract. 

The key idea of the article is to justify fractality as a category of dialectical logic. In this case, logic is understood as a universal ideal form of human activity. In this regard, a distinction is made between two ways of understanding the category: as an active way of relating to the subject and as a sign-term fixed in the language. In order to determine the place and justification of the necessity of fractality in the system of dialectical logic, its connection with the category of totality is considered, in relation to which fractality appears as friend-or-foe. It is shown that totality is a principle of Hegel’s logical system and represents this system from the side of its completeness. There is a comparative analysis of different types of negativeness: formal and dialectical. Fractality is treated as a measure of deformation, discontinuity in the movement of formal negativeness, which in the limit leads to the destruction of the pure form, to the pure negation of truth and meaning. It is shown that the logic of fractality is the logic of transformation, taken from the side of its form. The way to remove the fractal character of development is outlined.

PROSOCIAL BEHAVIOR OF OLDER PRESCHOOLERS

Abstract. 

The article deals with the phenomenon of «prosocial behavior», which is defined as contrasting to antisocial behavior, as a behavior focused on helping another person. A continuum of prosocial behavior is from altruism, involving help without the desire of getting any reward, to neurotic tension, leveled by helping another person. An attempt is made to describe the components of prosocial behavior, which, according to the authors, can be reduced to empathy, determination of orientation – personal or social. Preschool age is the most sensitive from the point of view of development of prosocial behavior as the child actively begins to master social reality. The requirements of the Federal Educational Standard of Preschool Education, in fact, oblige teachers to work on developing children’s prosocial behavior. The article presents the results of a small study conducted on a sample of preschoolers (n = 28). The following methods were used: the “The Nature of manifestations of empathic reactions and behavior in children” technique by A. M. Shchetinina; the “Unfinished sentences” technique by N. V. Kuchtova aimed at studying the peculiarities of manifestations of the child’s helping behavior; methods of studying children’s decentration by A. D. Andreeva who altered J. Piaget’s moral dilemma; and A. D. Andreeva’s test “Motives”. It is shown that by the older preschool age it can be seen that children are aware of the importance of providing assistance, especially in terms of urgency, they are ready to provide it even in difficult conditions, they show altruistic more often than selfish and socio-normative motives, and demonstrate elements of “group pressure”. Children with low level of language knowledge, speech disorders and having recommendations of the comprehensive Commission of experts, showed low level of empathy as a central component for developing the pro-social behavior; which may indicate difficulties in socialization.

CONTEMPORARY CONCEPTS OF STUDYING SCHOOLCHILDREN’S MOTIVATION

IN ADDITIONAL EDUCATION

Abstract. 

The problem of educational motivation is one of the central ones in pedagogical psychology. Although there is a large number of classical theories of motivation and its role in educational activities, many of its manifestations have specifics in additional education compared to general education and online learning formats compared to traditional formats of the educational situation. With the increasing importance of additional education for achieving high educational results and the development of subjectivity and, at the same time, with active development of online practice formats implemented in additional education, the specifics of motivation and self-efficacy become a significant question within this context. The article presents the analysis of contemporary concepts of studying the motivation and self-effectiveness of schoolchildren within online formats implemented in additional education. Based on this analysis, an experimental study is modeled, it is planned to be implemented on the digital platform «GlobalLab».

Abstract. 

The article presents an overview of the main theoretical approaches to the consideration of the phenomenon of “parental competence”, as well as the main empirical studies of parenthood. It is shown that a competent parent is a parent who is open to learning. The creation of special educational programs for the development of parental competencies is discussed. And the solution of such an urgent task as improving the educational level of parents’ is understood in studying and clarifying possible prospects for future theoretical and empirical studies of parental competence.

FEATURES OF THE INFLUENCE OF AUTHENTICITY ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF SELF-AWARENESS IN ADOLESCENTS OF DIFFERENT AGES

Abstract. 

The prerequisite for the study is the extensive prolonged work on the analysis of the peculiarities of the implementation of the principles of humane pedagogy when working with parents and children of different age groups in the domestic educational practice. In the structure of this work, a separate study of the phenomenon of authenticity was carried out as a condition for the development of self-awareness at different stages of adolescence. The empirical stage of the research was carried out on the basis of the non-state educational private institution GES “Harmonya” and the educational center “Gornostay”. This article presents the main results of theoretical analysis and empirical research. The study aims to define authenticity as a condition for the development of self-awareness at different stages of adolescence. The theoretical analysis examines the correlation between of the concepts of authenticity and self-awareness in domestic and foreign literature. In the empirical study, the following methods were used: Authenticity Scale (A. Wood), Dembo – Rubinstein Methodology, Interpersonal Relations Diagnostic Method (L. N. Sobchik), “Self-Attitude Research Methodology” (S. R. Panteleev) and “The style of self-regulation of behavior” (V. I. Morosanova). Both as in domestic and in foreign literature, the concept of authenticity is presented mainly from the side of descriptive terminology, while there is a lack of practical content of the concept. The interrelation between authenticity and self-awareness is also clearly visible. Foreign authors state that self-awareness and authenticity both go through active phases of changes during adolescence. It was possible to establish that the severity of self-alienation has a negative significant effect on forming the level of self-esteem in the process of the empirical research. And also, the formation of authenticity has a negative significant impact on the severity of the negative component of self-attitude and a positive impact on the formation of the level of self-regulation of the individual.

Abstract. 

The article presents the specifics of the psychological and pedagogical conditions for ensuring the educational process of a digital university. These conditions include: feedback; focus on student motivation when teaching; training in pairs or mini groups; alternation of types of activity within one lesson, the use of game and / or simulation (quasi-professional) forms; using illustrations, short videos and other opportunities (websites, social networks, applications) to «revive» the learning process; orientation of the pace of the lesson to the average student; creation of a regulator of behavior in the digital environment by analogy with online games; taking cognitive load into account when using virtual reality technologies; learning using digital technologies and their capabilities; rejection of exclusively «textual» culture.

EDUCATION MENTORING – THE DEVELOPMENT FACTOR OF THE REGIONAL EDUCATION SYSTEM

Abstract. 

The article deals with the development of a regional model of mentoring in the education system. The authors substantiate the mechanism for determining the teachers who need to be guided by a mentor. The increasing role of teachers in social development is accompanied by increasing demands on their professional competencies and personal qualities. At the same time the issue of successful implementation of personnel policy in the sphere of education is acute. The aging of teaching staff is faster than the influx of young professionals, so the problem of retaining a young teacher in the profession, including competent methodological support, is brought to the fore. The studies confirm the high relevance of mentoring in the professional development of general education teachers. This is due, first of all, to the fact that it covers a fairly wide field of issues that affect the content and methodology of teaching, monitoring and evaluation of the quality of education, implementation of innovative teaching technologies among others. At the same time, the level of importance of the problems to be solved varies within different limits for each teacher, but, on the whole, solving them ensures professional growth of the entire team. The work will be of interest to specialists of municipal education authorities, methodologists of municipal methodological services, managers and teachers, students of education organizations.

TRENDS IN MODERN EDUCATION: FROM CHALLENGES TO OPPORTUNITIES

Abstract. 

The article highlights the changes that take place in the modern system of Russian education, identifies counteracting trends in its development from the total digitalization of education and its mass standardization and pragmatization to opportunities for maximum creativity and design of the future. On these grounds, the author’s view on some opportunities for the upcoming transformation of education is defined. Such opportunities include the priority of education over vocational training, the renewal of interest in human ontology as the core of the anthropocentric educational paradigm, individualization and interdisciplinary basis of education, a focus on unsupported thinking and the development of subjectivity of participants of the educational process. To illustrate the systematic implementation of these, the author provides the example of the Workshop of Organizational and Activity Technologies housed by Moscow City University.

ACTIVITY APPROACH TO VOCATIONAL TRAINING A PRE-SERVICE TEACHER
IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS OF THE UNIVERSITY

Abstract. 

The article examines the issue associated with the vocational training of teachers in the context of the activity approach, which suggests students’ involving into various activities that contribute to their self-realization in the modern living environment, including their future profession. The relevance of the stated problematic lies in the systematic presentation of the psychological theory of activity, which is the basic ground of the activity approach in education. The article reveals the constituent components of the internal psychological structure of activity. The main mechanisms of activity regulation are considered from the standpoint of domestic and foreign scientists. The results of a diagnostic study to identify the motives of students to carry out professional and pedagogical activities, the degree of expression of their cognitive, professional and leisure interests in various types of activities, which in the system influence the development of the competences of pre-service teachers, are presented. The results of the study on the self-assessment of students’ readiness for future professional activity are analyzed in conjunction with the factors influencing this readiness.

SCIENTIFIC AND PEDAGOGICAL APPROACHES TO ASSESSING EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE WORKS OF RUSSIAN TEACHERS OF THE LATE 19TH – EARLY 20TH CENTURIES

Abstract. 

The article analyzes the scientific and pedagogical views of Russian educators on the issue of assessing educational achievements in the late 19th – early 20th centuries. Existing in Russia of that time, the system of assessment of students’ knowledge is considered and briefly characterized. The points of view of supporters and opponents of the merit point system for assessing the educational success of students with the identification of positive and negative features of the point assessment are presented. The alternative points of view on the issue of assessing the educational achievements of students’ are analyzed: graphic, mark-free systems and students’ written characteristics. The criteria for assessing the achievements of students, proposed by teachers in the 19th and early 20th centuries are considered. It is revealed that the abolition of grades in the Russian education system has not led to the termination of the discussion on the issue of assessing educational achievements in the pedagogical community. The topic still remains relevant.

ON THE PROSPECT OF USING THE METHODS OF FORMING “THE NEW MAN” OF THE 1917–1920s IN THE MODERN RUSSIAN SYSTEM OF EDUCATION

Abstract. 

Based on the comparative analysis of the decrees of the Soviet government and strategic documents of the People’s Commissariat of education in 1917–1924 as well as a scientific discussion of various pedagogical schools about the project of the Soviet monopoly of «the new man», the article examines the theory and practice of the genesis of the modernization of the educational process. The content of such modernization was based on the postulates of free education of the Soviet person, based on the principles of labor education, student self-government, and Soviet ideological values in order to «create» a fully developed personality. The conclusion is made about the possibility of using the means and techniques of the pedagogical process of the 1920s in the modern conditions of digital education.

Abstract.  

The article examines some phenomena in the Russian grammar and lexis that the foreign students usually find difficult to master. The difficulties can be easily overcome, even on the very early stages of training, with the help of a specially adapted method that aims at the Serbian students and the use of positive transfer when needed. Such comparative method not only helps Serbs to master Russian, but also Russian students who display interest to study the language and culture of a friendly Slavic country of Serbia.

Abstract.  

The paper studies the current issues on improving the training of IT specialists in the context of digitalization of the economy. It analyzes the modern IT labor market, forecasts regional employers’ demand for professional competencies of university graduates, and therefore demonstrates the relevance of choosing an approach to teaching pre-service IT professionals that is based on the advanced training in modern programming technologies, with web development being at the forefront. The paper considers the available approaches to teaching computer programming in educational organizations that offer IT education to conclude that training should be based on international standards guidelines for IT training with due regard to the requirements of occupational standards, the needs of regional employers, and the particular nature of a given university.

Abstract.

CRITERIA OF ASSESSING THE EFFICIENCY OF PRESENTATION OF THE PROJECT

Abstract.  

The article concerns criteria to assess efficiency of a project presentation that is a final stage of project idea realization. The author singles out the following criteria: content-related, psychological, communicative, verbal, as well as the criterion of the non-verbal and elocution use. The author describes the assessment procedure and provides a list of questions for it, guidelines and a template for practical use of the assessment methodology under discussion. In the article, the notion of trust is considered as a fundamental position towards one’s communication partner and the basis to assess efficiency of a project presentation. The author proves that teaching presentational speech is more effective when students are aware of assessment criteria.

Abstract.

FEATURES OF STUDYING INTERDISCIPLINARY TOPICS OF SCHOOL COURSES
IN MATHEMATICS AND COMPUTER SCIENCE USING MATHEMATICAL
MODELING METHODS

Abstract.  

The article deals with issues related to the study of topics of the interdisciplinary nature of school courses in mathematics and computer science. The authors propose to use the tools of automated information systems to organize the diagnostics of inter-subject knowledge of schoolchildren’s. This is due to the fact that in the context of the analysis of schoolchildren’s educational achievements in only one subject, it is impossible to fully identify the degree of completeness of the knowledge gained. As a didactic line, the problem solving topics with the parameter is selected. The choice is based on the fact that neither of the courses, mathematics or computer science, has a single block of theoretical and practical material on this topic. Subject information is given to school students, as a rule, fragmentary, in a poorly systematized form. At the same time, checking the schoolchildren’s knowledge at the specialized SU exam in mathematics and computer science suggests their mastering these elements at an increased and high level of complexity. In view of this, the authors see the need for interdisciplinary interaction between teachers and students when studying ways to solve problems with parameter. To do this, it is planned to use the modeling capabilities of the «Advanced Tester» software complex, which allows one to create inter-object graph models of educational material. Thus, teachers have a tool for testing knowledge in their subject based on additional information about the nature of mastering the skills of a related topic of another course. This allows one to build group learning trajectories more accurately taking into account individual achievements in each of the subjects. In its turn, this opens up prospects for improving the quality of knowledge received by schoolchildren.

DEVELOPING ATTENTION OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WITH THE USE
OF THE WUSHU GYMNASTICS DURING PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASSES

Abstract.  

The article examines the impact of classes with the use of wushu gymnastics on the development of attention of high school students and improving their level of performance during physical education classes. In the course of the experimental study, the level of attention formation in secondary school students is revealed. On the basis of the obtained data, conclusions are drawn about the effectiveness of conducting physical education classes by high school students using the wushu gymnastics techniques. FAMILY AND FAMILY VALUES CONCEPTS ANALYSIS

Abstract.  

Transformation of the understanding of the family and family values in our country leads to changing the image of the family which is transmitted to the future generation. The relevance of the study is due to the need of society and the state in the search of modern family values in younger generation. The study problematics is concerned with comparing young generation understanding of family and family values and the scientific research about it. The study aims to analyze in theory the concepts of «family» and «family values». The author analyzes family and family values in different science concerning family: philosophy, sociology, pedagogy and psychology. The author presents the results of 100 respondents aged 18–35 who were surveyed about family and family values. The author repeats the metaphorical experiment by L. B. Schneider in this work. The experiment shows a change in the modern young people image of the family. The most important for young people is emotional security in the family and its dynamics. Based on the theoretical and empirical study, the author defines the modern concept of the family and family values, as well as the current family values in modern young generation.
